Operation Workzone Awareness: Participant Disclaimer & Waiver

By enrolling in the Operation Workzone Awareness educational program, you (the "Participant") acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Program Eligibility & Fine Dismissal

Participation in this course is a voluntary alternative offered to individuals cited for specific qualifying traffic offenses in the State of Oklahoma. Successful completion of the course—within the court-mandated timeframe—may result in the dismissal of the associated traffic fine. If the completion certificate is provided to the Court at least one day prior to the scheduled appearance date, the court costs will also be waived. It is the Participant’s sole responsibility to ensure they meet all court deadlines and provide proof of completion to the appropriate jurisdictional authority. Operation Work Zone Awareness may only be used to obtain relief from one citation. If multiple citations are issued at one time, the participant may only obtain relief for one.

An Offender may resolve no more than one citation under the program. Upon issuance of a completion certificate, the Offender shall be considered by the system to be ineligible for the program in the future. For purposes of this condition, despite receiving multiple citations during a traffic stop, an Offender may only resolve one citation.

2. Non-Refundable Payments

All fees paid for enrollment in the Operation Work Zone Awareness course are strictly non-refundable. Payments will not be returned under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

• Failure to complete the course.
• Disqualification from the program by a court of law.
• Accidental duplicate enrollments.
• Inability to access the course due to personal technical issues.

3. Waiver of Liability for Non-Completion

The Department of Public Safety, the State of Oklahoma, and any affiliated third-party vendors shall not be held liable for any legal or financial consequences resulting from the Participant’s failure to complete the course.

Note: Failure to finish the course by the deadline may result in the original fine being reinstated, additional court costs, points on your driving record, or the suspension of driving privileges. The Participant assumes all risks associated with non-completion.

4. Not Legal Advice

The information provided during this course and in any related communications is for educational purposes only.

• Participation in this program does not constitute legal representation or the establishment of an attorney-client relationship.
• Program staff are not authorized to provide legal advice regarding your specific citation, driving record, or potential court outcomes.
• If you have questions regarding your legal rights or the specific impact of this citation on your license, you should consult with a qualified attorney.

5. Technical Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connectivity to complete the course. Program administrators are not responsible for delays caused by the Participant’s equipment failure or internet service interruptions.
